The Charleston Green Party wholeheartedly endorses the Charleston County Library Referendum in the upcoming November 4th election. We believe that the large increase in population in Charleston County and the fact that the average age (44 years) of the existing buildings more than justifies the expenditure for new facilities and renovation to some of the existing structures, To quote US. News and World Report: ” it turns out that the very electronic revolution that was suppose to make libraries obsolete has made them indispensable”. Access to free information and education should continue to be available to all Americans.

Thom Taylor, Chairman
Charleston County Green Party
