Upcoming Events

Wednesday, October 16, 6pm, Physician’s Auditorium
“The Climate Heats Up” by Bill McKibben of 350.org

Thursday, October 17, 7pm, ILA Hall
Join us for a fun evening with political satirist and troubadour Dave Lippman.

Veteran satirical songster Dave Lippman is fired up, with Wild Bill Bailout firing back, over healthcare, climate scare and War in Who Knows Where. This show has delighted and terrified audiences throughout the Free World, and in some pretty cheap places as well. Attendance is optional but strongly suggested.

Dave Lippman has toured from San Francisco to Sydney, from Boston to Berlin, from the Midwest to the Mideast. Utah Phillips said of Lippman, “God that man can talk! What a great writer!” “Viciously funny,” said the Guardian. “Lippman is a national treasure,” countered the L.A. Herald-Examiner.

Lippman has been performing his brand of musical comedy for over 30 years. His most notorious CD is I Hate Wal-Mart; his most recent is Food, Clothing, & Glaciers.

Visit http://www.davelippman.com/mp3s/ for audio and video samples of the show.

This event is free.

“The Meaning of Matthew” with Judy Shepard

Judy Shepard will discus her son Matthew and what each of us can do to Erase Hate.

In 1998, Judy Shepard lost her son, Matthew, to a murder motivated by anti-gay hate. Speaking from a mother’s perspective, she has made the prevention of hate crimes the focus of her efforts. She will share her thoughts on what we can do as individuals and communities to make this world a more accepting place for everyone, regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity and/or expression.
