The minutes from the SC Green Party annual meeting have been posted.  Charleston Green Party was well represented along with attendees from Columbia and the upstate.

Karen Clarke recently returned from a trip to Palestine and Israel.  The Post & Courier printed a Q&A and  Karen has shared the unedited version with us here: Q and A with Karen Clarke.  Plans are being made for Karen to speak about her trip and we will let you know once we have more info.

September is a busy month for the Charleston Green Party.  Please plan on joining us at these events!

Join us for our next Adopt a Highway trash pickup in West Ashley.  Details and directions can be found on our Adopt a Highway page.

Monthly meeting

Since the first Monday of September is Labor Day, we will hold our monthly meeting following the trash pickup and NOT on Monday at Earth Fare.  The exact time will depend on how quickly we finish the pickup, so do plan on helping!  Meeting location will be at one of the nearby restaurants.  If you can not attend the pickup but want to attend the meeting, give us your phone number so we may let you know when and where we are meeting!

November 20-22, Vigil to close the SOA, Fort Benning, GA

The Green Party is planning on a large presence at the annual vigil to close the School of Americas/WHINSEC (aka School of Assassins), and many GP members from several southeastern states will be attending.  It is NOT too early to make your plans, especially if you need a hotel room.
