The minutes from the SC Green Party annual meeting have been posted. Charleston Green Party was well represented along with attendees from Columbia and the upstate.
Karen Clarke recently returned from a trip to Palestine and Israel. The Post & Courier printed a Q&A and Karen has shared the unedited version with us here: Q and A with Karen Clarke. Plans are being made for Karen to speak about her trip and we will let you know once we have more info.

The Green Party is planning on a large presence at the annual vigil to close the School of Americas/WHINSEC (aka School of Assassins), and many GP members from several southeastern states will be attending. It is NOT too early to make your plans, especially if you need a hotel room.

Hello Greens everywhere, I’m told that our “sign” with our name “Chas Green Party” will not be installed until after we have “proven ourselves” to the SC DOT as reliable trash pickup people.
I took my lawn mower & mowed weeds growing along inside the curbs or along edges of uncurbed roadway upon our first pickup.
Though Sue & I got a royal sunburn during our first pick up, we shall be there again & hope our exposure to ultra violet radiation will be half the time with many other volunteers.
Apply heavy lotion sunscreen & wear covering clothing & a large brim hat if you wish to help.
Please you elderly & handicapped Greens need not feel obliged to do much if at all under these tropical conditions. If some are driving along providing bottled water for us sweaty trash collectors to drink or douse ourselves with, you’ll be an invaluable asset in this regard.
INSTEAD OF MEETING IN OUR USUAL EARTHFARE, the new Kangaroo Mega gas station/convenience store will probably be our last stop before we decide if Bluerose Irish or Red Orchid Chinese food OR SOME OTHER CAFE like Taco’s or BBQ nearby shall be what Greens present decide upon travel to for our meeting & lunch.
Call me at 843-926-1750 for the last minute decision for chews & views.
Peace, Larry ps call Senator Lindsey Graham now to urge his vote for the GREEN JOBS BILL

AND DEMAND HR 676 not the bad bill HR 3200 as universal not for profit health care results when Medicare and Medicaid is extended to all who apply, not just the poor and elderly. Voluntary and costs less than ten billion dollars in the first year. Will save far more than propping up corrupt mega million dollar executives & stock holders of insurance companies & big pharma that deny 60 million people coverage but do take their premiums.
